Hi, my name is Kristen.
Welcome to my family practice.
I bring 35 years of education and parenting experience, knowledge and skill to your family therapy sessions. With wisdom, compassion, humor and leadership, I can help you across your parenting journey from planning your family to managing adult child relaitonships.

My foundational experience is rooted in my values of education, love and service.

I have been working and serving families in Santa Cruz County since 1997 as a credentialed teacher, parenting coach and teen mentor.

It has been my honor and privilege to have helped hundreds of families learn how to meet the challenges of modern parenting and family life with grace and confidence. Becoming a therapist has been a natural progression of a life of service and you will benefit from my many years of experience.

I owe a debt of gratitude to the families and kids I have served over my lifetime for helping me to become who I am today.
You will find me grounded, open and confident in your ability to navigate what life is presenting to you as opportunities for personal development, healing and growth.

“Family therapists view the therapeutic relationship as a means to an end rather than as an end in itself.
Family therapists see beyond the problematic patterns in the family to the potential healing power of family relationships.”
