Inclusive and affirming therapy, tailored for you.

Your very life is a 1 in 400 quadrillion miracle and I will treat you like it.
My work is individualized, client-centered and relational.
And I love it.
It brings me great joy to witness my clients bravely traversing challenges, seeking opportunities within obstacles and befriending themselves, once and for all.

You are not just the sum total of the things that have happened to you, nor are you simply the roles that you play or have played. This is your story to write and I am honored to walk with you for a while on your journey.

You will appreciate my grounded, warm approach in sessions where my capacity to hold the bigger picture allows you the space and time you crave to attend to your own needs.

I will teach you Somatic, Cognitive Behavioral and Mindfulness interventions that you can use to turn the temperature down immediately on your symptoms of stress, anxiety or depression so you can do more than just cope and get by.

When addressing trauma, family of origin issues, life transitions and other topics of personal healing and development, we will draw from a variety of theoretical approaches including Emotionally Focused, Narrative and Internal Family Systems to create the clarity and safety you need to heal.

I am a credentialed educator and have been teaching in Santa Cruz County since 1997. I bring 30 years of experience as a family and parenting educator, teacher, and school counselor to my work as a therapist. I have decades of experience working with families of neurodivergent children and this is an asset I love to share with families in my practice.
I find myself enjoying working with neurodivergent adults who desire working with someone who can celebrate and accommodate their individual needs in therapy and who is allied and competent enough to do so.

I am an eternal student and often provide peer reviewed research and education on mental health, emotional intelligence and resilience strategies for living with mental illness or learning disabilities.

I am neurodivergent affirming and trauma informed in my approach.
Your safety and comfort in my care is my priority.

My resources are robust and I encourage personal empowerment and growth through self-knowledge.
Please visit my resource section and let me know if there are things that you think should be included there.
What would you recommend?

It is my personal and professional goal that all races, faiths, gender and sexual orientations, including every type of body, relationship and family configuration feel safe and welcome in my practice. I am Black Lives Matter, Disability and LGBTQIA+ allied.
